Sam began his musical studies on the violin as a young boy with Bob Heinle, former oboist and violinist under Eugene Ormandy with the Philadelphia Orchestra. Sam performed in various church groups with his father – a cellist with the Bucks County Symphony Orchestra. After 2 years studying illustration at St. John’s University in Queens, NY, Sam decided to switch his professional focus to music and composition in 1999 after experiencing performing for various college theatre and other productions. He graduated with a BA in Music with a minor in illustration from Mansfield University in 2003. For the last 20 years he has developed his skills as a musician, audio engineer, producer, and composer/arranger in both live and studio settings. In addition to creating his own music, Samuel loves to work in collaborative relationships with other musicians, and has had many fine experiences.
Sam has worked closely with many musicians in numerous ensembles. As a lover of Jazz, Sam has performed on stand up bass with the jazz combo “Jazz With Friends“, the Montgomery County Jazz Big Band, the Doylestown Heat Big Band, the Bucks County Symphony Orchestra. 

Most notably, Sam has enjoyed a long time working relationship with Ringoes, NJ native Michael Notarangelo – guitarist, creating an inspiring repertoire of original music for guitar and cello.
